Health and Safety Specialist (East Heaven ,CT) Develop, implement, and monitor food safety protocols. Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper food storage, handling, and preparation practices align with local and federal health regulations. Train staff on safe food handling practices, allergen awareness, cross-contamination prevention. Identify potential hazards in the workplace and conduct staff training on workplace safety, emergency procedures, and equipment use. Conduct regular hygiene and sanitation checks for staff and workplace. Maintain records of health and safety training, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions. Provide regular updates to the restaurant manager on health and safety performance. Master’s degree in biology or public health is required. M-F, 40 hrs/wk.
